Empowering Community Ownership & Sustainability: Entrepreneurial Support & Training (ECO-SET)
ECO-SET aims to foster a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem within local communities, empowering individuals to create sustainable businesses, generate employment, and contribute to local economic growth. The project will provide comprehensive support, resources, and training to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, strengthening the foundational elements necessary for business success.
Project Activities:
O1 (SEED): By the end of Year 1, establish 3 Community Business Hubs (CBHs) across the target communities, providing accessible co-working spaces, basic office equipment, and internet access for at least 150 aspiring entrepreneurs.
O2 (RISE): Within 18 months, deliver comprehensive business development training programs (covering business planning, financial literacy, marketing, and legal aspects) to at least 500 individuals, resulting in 75% of participants developing a viable business plan.
O3 (BUILD): Over 2 years, facilitate the launch of at least 100 new micro- and small-scale enterprises (MSMEs) by providing mentorship, seed funding access, and incubation support to promising startups.
O4 (CONNECT): Annually host 4 community-wide networking events and 2 entrepreneurship fairs to connect local entrepreneurs with mentors, investors, and market opportunities, fostering collaborative partnerships and knowledge sharing.
O5 (SEED): Within 3 years, achieve a 60% survival rate for the businesses launched through ECO-SET, measured by their continued operation and revenue generation.
